Industry's only 100% Plant-Based Source of Cetyl Myristoleate Eliminates Worries of Feeding Beef-Based Products to Livestock

100% of the cetyl myristoleate in Natural Stride comes from the African kombo nut (wild nutmeg). This is a patent-pending feature and innovation available only in Natural Stride. Unlike using the more common beef-based source of cetyl myristoleate, Natural Stride offers a level of confidence and peace of mind that other joint supplements simply cannot match thanks to our exclusive plant-based kombo nut source of cetyl myristoleate. This 100% plant based source of cetyl myristoleate eliminates worries of feeding any animal/ beef based products to your livestock.

Cetyl myristoleate benefits the joint in four ways.

•

First, it helps modulate or “calm down” the body’s immune response to joint stress
— enhancing joint recovery and minimizing damage from pain and activity.

 •

Second, cetyl myristoleate may act as an anti-inflammatory, helping to reduce the symptoms of “inflammatory arthritis” and other conditions in which inflammation can lead to slow recovery, damaged tissues, increased pain and restricted motion.

 •

Third, cetyl myristoleate can stimulate joint lubrication to help relieve stiffness, which may improve mobility and enhance the natural range of motion.

 •

Finally, cetyl myristoleate has had an analgesic or “pain-killing” effect that may help to reduce joint pain, hence increasing your animal’s comfort.

The Story behind Cetyl Myristoleate

Cetyl myristoleate was discovered by the late Harry Diehl, a research chemist at the National Institute of Health (NIH). In addition to isolating cetyl myristoleate and more than 500 other first-time compounds, Diehl is also known for discovering a method for synthesizing the unique sugar form used in the preparation of Dr. Jonas Salk’s oral polio vaccine.

But what about the mouse? Well, during Diehl's research on arthritis, he discovered that he was unable to induce arthritis in a particular species of Swiss albino mice. He theorized that these particular mice carried a special trait that helped prevent the onset of arthritis — and he eventually was able to isolate cetyl myristoleate as the secret compound.

To test his theory, he pretreated a species of rat susceptible to arthritis with the cetyl myristoleate he had isolated from the Swiss mouse. And when he tried to induce arthritis in these rats, lo and behold, he could not.

Diehl’s quest for an effective treatment for arthritis was spawned by his desire to help a close friend who suffered terribly from a debilitating form of arthritis. His friend passed away before Dhiehl discovered cetyl myristoleate and, amazingly, his discovery went relatively unattended for more than 30 years.

As fate would have it, Diehl later developed degenerative joint disease (osteoarthritis) himself.
Unable to find lasting relief from treatments of cortisone and a variety of the usual non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, he returned to the lab and “cooked up” another batch of cetyl myristoleate. He then mixed it with a topical solution that acted as a carrier and applied it to his ailing joints. It worked!  And his joints were completely pain free after only 10 days.

Cetyl myristoleate has a proven track record of assisting animals of all ages and levels of activity — even those with severe injury, hip dysplasia, arthritis and other forms of degenerative joint disease — appear more mobile, agile and active.

Today, your animals can enjoy the same relief and benefits from this natural joint-enhancer, cetyl myristoleate. Just think, it all started with a mouse.

Maximum Potency

Natural Stride is manufactured in granular form to ensure maximum potency and the greatest benefits for your livestock. How? Because in its granular form, Natural Stride is not subjected to the potentially degrading effects of heat and pressure required to create pelleted products. As an esterified fatty acid, cetyl myristoleate has a unique molecular structure, which gives it very specific properties in the body. Changing its structure (through heat, pressure or other means) can diminish its effects and potency in the body as a nutraceutical. So we leave it just the way it's supposed to be. Unlike most nutrients, your livestock cannot manufacture cetyl myristoleate in its body. It must be supplied and it must remain intact. By eliminating the high heat and pressure involved in pelleting, you can be sure that the cetyl myristoleate in Natural Stride is delivering the greatest benefits to your animal.

Unique Formulation with High Palatability

Natural Stride is uniquely formulated for optimum results. That includes added molasses to help ensure your animal consumes the full dose. In fact, we've seen livestock "lick the bowl" to get the last few granules at the bottom of the feeder!

A two-scoop dose (60 cc scoop) of Natural Stride contains:

For best results, we recommend that you follow these directions for Natural Stride:
- Initial "Loading" Period:

Mix with feed or grain. Depending on severity of animal, an initial "loading" dosage during the first 10 to 21 days is recommended.
-----For Cattle administer 2 scoops(60 cc scoop) twice a day. For starting larger cattle(1250+) administer 3 scoops twice a day.
----- For Swine, Sheep, or Goats administer 2 scoops(29.6 cc scoop) twice a day. Results are usually evident within three weeks.

- Maintenance Period:
Once desired results are being seen(10 to 21 days after start of "loading period") begin administering a maintenance program of 1 to 2 scoops(60 cc scoop) per day on grower size cattle and 1.5 to 3 scoops(60 cc scoop) on finisher size cattle.
-----On Swine, Sheep, or Goats administer .5 to 1 scoop(29.6 cc scoop) on grower size animals and 1 to 2 scoops(29.6 cc scoop) on finisher size animal.

- Maintain a higher rate due to the severity of the animal.
- Monitor your animals condition closely and adjust treatment levels as may be necessary for optimum results.
- Be sure to make clean, fresh water available at all times.

Administering Tip: We all know that some animals can be a bit picky, so here's a tip: Add a small amount of water to Natural Stride and then mix it with the feed. The granules will stick to the feed and even the pickiest animal will eat it up eagerly!

FAQ

Q.

What is the best age of animal to use Natural Stride?

A.

The best thing to remember is Natural Stride is designed to work on livestock of all ages, not only the young for prevention but also the older livestock used in breeding herds. One of the great benefits we find is adding the longevity and structural health to livestock. Ask yourself this, what’s it worth to have one of those key animals around extra years? Natural Stride works great on both males and females, while showing absolutely no sexual side effects towards breeding livestock or hinder the use of semen in any way.

Q.

What is cetyl myristoleate?

A.

Cetyl myristoleate is a unique esterified fatty acid that has been shown to support joint health, function and mobility. Cetyl myristoleate is derived from myristoleic acid, which occurs naturally
in the African kombo nut (wild nutmeg), whale fat and beef tallow. Advanced Cetyl M Joint Action Formula and Natural Stride are the only joint health products that uses 100% plant-based cetyl myristoleate. Advanced Cetyl M Joint Action Formula for Dogs uses a unique combination of cetyl myristoleate from both plant and animal sources.

Q.

Can’t animals simply make their own cetyl myristoleate?

A.

Unfortunately, they cannot. Cetyl myristoleate must come from an outside source and is beneficial to joint health and recovery because of its unique molecular structure. Subjecting it to heat or pressure, such as occurs in the manufacturing process with pelleted and extruded products,
can have a degrading effect—and can lower its beneficial properties for joint tissues. That’s why we DO NOT pellet our products.

Q.

How long until Natural Stride starts working?

A.

The first signs that Natural Stride is working are commonly seen two to three weeks after treatment begins, but can take longer depending on the nature and severity of the animal’s condition and other variables. Natural Stride is a serious treatment that acts on joint tissues
at the cellular level to enhance joint structure and tissue function. As such, it is not designed
to simply “mask” symptoms and should not be viewed as a “quick fix.” The recommended time and dosage for the initial “loading” period and subsequent maintenance program are based
on averages. In nature, of course, there is no such thing as “average.” Be sure to monitor your animal’s condition closely and adjust as necessary to help ensure optimum results.

Q.

How long do I have to give Natural Stride?

A.

The answer to this question is impossible to know for certain, depending on the nature and severity of your animal’s condition—and your treatment goals. For chronic conditions, such as arthritis, we recommend an ongoing maintenance program for continued relief. For more acute conditions, such as a specific injury, treatment may continue indefinitely. In these situations, it is often administered post-recovery to slow or prevent the onset of arthritis in the injured joint. For active animals where joints are subjected to higher levels of stress, Natural Stride is often used as a preventive treatment to enhance performance, minimize the damaging effects of stress on joint tissues, and increase joint health and comfort of the animal.

Q.

Are there any side effects?

A.

There are no known side effects. All ingredients are naturally occurring and formulated to enhance joint function. There are no synthetic compounds, drugs or medications of any kind in Natural Stride or any of our Advanced Cetyl M Joint Action Formulas. Veterinarians have prescribed Advanced Cetyl M Joint Action formula since its introduction in the late 1990’s to promote joint health, and support relief and performance without restriction.

Q.

What is the difference in Natural Stride or Advanced Cetyl M Joint Action Formulas and Glucosamine or MSM?

A.

Cetyl myristoleate effects and acts upon joint tissues in ways that are unique to cetyl myristoleate – and DIFFERENT than glucosamine. One does not work as a substitute for the other. Advanced Cetyl M Joint Action Formula or Natural Stride is a serious treatment that acts on joint tissues at the cellular level to support joint structure and tissue function. It attacks the symptoms at the source. Glucosamine or MSM is more of a “mask” to the symptoms and such is viewed more
as a “band-aid” and does not treat or fix the problem at hand.

FYI - Extended treatment with Advanced Cetyl M Joint Action Formula or Natural Stride may enhance repair to the joint.

Q.

What is the satisfaction rate in using these products?

A.

Studies show that the satisfaction rate is well into the 90% range. As long as the injury or point
of interest is in the joint, it is very, very high. In cases where there is not a positive effect, the diagnosis was most likely not a joint mobility problem.

Q.

Do I need to worry about a possible allergic reaction?

A.

If you or your animal has a known allergy, we recommend you check the ingredient list carefully with your doctor or veterinarian beforehand. The glucosamine used in the CM Response® and Advanced Cetyl M® formulas is derived from shellfish, which may be of concern to people allergic to shellfish. Should you or your animal develop a reaction to any product, always contact your doctor or veterinarian immediately.
